Special Occasion Masala with Coconut from Tamil Nadu

While making Sambar, add only half the quantity of sambar powder and balance with this Special masala for an authentic taste.
- Coriander Seeds 3-4 spoons
- Chana Dal 3/4 spoon
- Dry Red Chilli 1-2
- Oil a
- Take a little oil in kadai/pan add hing and roast Coriander seeds,
- Add to the above 3/4 spoon of chana dal, dry red chilli and coconut and grind into a paste adding a little water. The Special masala is now ready.
This fiery masala can be used to liven up many meals.
