Mixed Chutney

This tangy Mint Coriander Chutney Recipe is bursting with different flavors. Serve it with an appetizer or as a side with any Indian meal because it is a perfect accompaniment to perk up the meal.

Ingredients

  1. Coriander- 50g
  2. Mint- 50g
  3. Onion- 2
  4. Garlic- 1 bulb
  5. Peanuts- 1 serving spoon
  6. White sesame seeds- 1 Serving Spoon
  7. Coconut- 3 tbsp grated
  8. Lemons- 2
  9. Mustard seeds- ½ tsp
  10. Salt- to taste
  11. Water- 4-5 tbsp

Ingredients for Tempering/ Tadka

  1. Mustard seeds- ½ tsp
  2. White sesame seeds- 1 tsp
  3. Chana Dal (lentils)- ½ tsp
  4. Urad Dal (lentils)- ½ tsp
  5. Whole red chillies- 2

Procedure

  1. Roast the peanuts, coconut and white sesame seeds.
  2. Grind coriander, mint, onion, garlic and the roasted ingredients together.
  3. Temper/ tadka mustard seeds, white sesame seeds, lentils and red chilli in hot oil.
  4. Once the temper cools down, add to it the ground ingredients.
  5. Adjust the salt and the Chutney is ready.
