LAUKI KA CHEELA from Madhya Pradesh

  1. 2 small cups of wheat flour (आटा)
  2. 1 big onion finely chopped
  3. 1 big tomato
  4. 2 green chillies finely chopped
  5. 2 tablespoon besan (gram flour)
  6. Coriander leaves
  7. Lauki (लौकी) half kg bottle gourd grated
  8. Olive oil
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Red chilli powder


  1. Take a big deep bowl add wheat flour, besan, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes , grated lauki ,green chilli , coriander leaves salt n red chilli powder
  2. Add 2 cups of water make smooth paste like normal chillas
  3. (Note not too thick not too watery)
  4. Take a non stick tawa just apply lil oil with brush then pour the batter n make chillas
  5. Not too thick not too thin Medium sized
  6. Toast both sides in a slow flame until golden brown
  7. Serve hot with green chutney or coconut chutney
