Gunpowder

The famous South Indian gunpowder chutney is spicy hot--hence the name! It doesn't fail to add a zing to the dish . Best served with Dosa, Idli and even rice.
Ingredients
- Whole red chillies-100g
- Split Bengal Gram-100g
- Sesame seeds-50g
- Dry coconut-50g
- Salt- to taste
- Mustard oil-4-5 tbs
Procedure
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add all ingredients and roast till it browns.
- Cool the mix and grind it, to powder. The Gun powder is now ready!
