Dalgona Coffee with Almond Milk
Contributed by Chhavi Mittal
The first time I had vegan coffee was on my trip to Italy and that still remains the best coffee cups I ever had. However, I tried to make these two types of vegan coffees at home from my travel experience, in which the almond milk one is my personal favourite. These are easy to make and taste amazing! Try it out! :)
How to Make Almond Milk:-
Soak in 15-20 almonds (for a cup) in water over night
Add 1:2 or 1:3 nuts to water ratio
Blend for a few minutes until almonds form a nice creamy mixture
Pour the blended milk into a cotton cloth and squeeze until no liquid is left
Make dalgona coffee (instant coffee+sugar+1-2 spoon water and beat until it becomes smooth brown paste).
Heat the almond milk on a medium flame
Pour hot milk on the dalgona coffee and give it a mix.
Sprinkle cinnamon dust to add some flavour
Your frothy creamy flavourful Vegan coffee is ready :)
Cold Coffee Version-
The milk I used here is seeds milk made from sesame, sunflower, pumpkin and melon seeds.
To make milk you know the drill now- “Soak, blend and strain out”
Add some instant coffee, cocoa powder, 2-3 seedless dates or sugar and blend blend blend.
Pour into your mug, garnish with some nuts or seeds or berries and Enjoy 😊
Hack: If you forgot to soak them in the night, just soak your nuts in hot water for about 1-2 hour and blend.
