Coconut chutney is considered to be the king of all chutneys. Perhaps the popularity of south indian breakfast recipes is incomplete without it. Goes very well with Idlis, Dosa, Wada etc to name a few.
- Coconut- 1 raw
- Garlic- 5-6 cloves
- Green Chillies- 3-4
- Curry Leaves- 8-10
- Whole Red Chillies- 2 broken
- Salt-to taste
- Mustard Oil- 1tbs
- Grind the coconut, garlic and green chillies with water and salt.
- Temper the remaining ingredients- mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chillies in mustard oil
- Mix the tempered spices with the ground coconut-garlic-green chilli paste, and don’t forget to add salt! The Coconut Chutney is ready to be served.
