Boboh Cake from Goa

Is a traditional Goan recipe which can be made with Semolina too.


  1. Rice 1 cup
  2. Coconut Shredded 1
  3. Cardamom seeds 2-3
  4. Jaggery to taste


  1. Soak rice for 6 hours.
  2. Wash it well and put in a blender with shredded coconut
  3. Add 3 pieces of cardamom seeds . Blend it well.
  4. Now add jaggery and blend it again.
  5. Pour the mixture into a metal container with a lid and put into a big pan with boiling water in it.
  6. Steam for around 40min.

The Boboh is ready for you to savour.
