“Life is more about incremental change.”

I’m from a small town In Central New York called Apalachin. It’s about 15 minutes from the Binghamton Area, which used to be the home of IBM. Now it’s just a college town. I studied Arabic at Binghamton University, and I worked as a cook in the school’s food co-op. I draw, I play bass, and I read a lot. I love science fiction.

I’ve been dreaming of seeing the Himalayas since I was five or six years old. I’ve been interested in Buddhism as well, so visiting the part of the world that gave birth to those traditions was a draw for me as well.

If you are open to being changed, just growing and learning and experiencing shifts who you are, day by day, bit by bit, until who you are is not who you were.

My personal experience is that life is more about incremental change. I try my best to go into each day without expectation, so that I can fully experience everything that happens, good and bad. I often find that the most unexpected experiences are the best ones to learn from. I try to learn as much as I can. This world is overflowing with experience and information. I know that I’ll only ever encounter a small portion of it, but I try to cram as much into my head as I possibly can.
